Fresh thinking in the fresh air
CC20 accommodates 15 students and with its wooden frame and open sides creates an inspiring, fully ventilated space in which to learn. Our sister company, Learniture, also provided the school with weather-proof ZigZags (use-anywhere portable worksurfaces) and Bloqs (cubes that can be used as a seat or a worksurface) so that learners can sit and write or draw wherever they need to.
At White Waltham Academy, students can place their ZigZag portable work surface on a Bloq to create a chair with a back support, or can be rotated and used as a desk. Made of hardwearing polypropylene, ZigZag is light, easy to sanitise, tough enough to be used outside and stackable when stored.

Key Stage Two students in Ashley Hill MAT schools spend 50% of their day working directly with their teacher and 50% working independently, which is when the Year 6 students at White Waltham CofE Academy will head to the CC20 Outdoor Learning Space to enjoy learning in the fresh air. Being outside is an excellent environment for learning because of superior air and light quality. It’s also good for your mental health to be outdoors.
