Ownership and flexibility

UP+ enables practitioners to take ownership of creating play and learning spaces that are unique and ideally suited to their cohorts’ needs.  UP+ is completely flexible so you’re not tied to your first idea; you can continually reconfigure, rearrange and use different resources so it becomes whatever you want it to be.

Clever use of vertical space creates separate storage that is only accessible to adults, so children are safe and free to explore independently. Using high spaces in this way maximises the floorspace available for young learners, reducing clutter and creating more room in which to play and discover.  

Create exciting, inclusive spaces

With ‘grown-up’ storage on the upper levels, the lower levels become an enabling environment where children can exercise choice and agency.  Translucent tray fronts enable young learners to see which resources are where, so they can access them without reading labels or finding the right words to ask. This is particularly helpful for EAL and neurodivergent children and reduces the need for adult involvement.
